During the last few weeks I have received a high volume of emails about webdesign services. A few of them bordered on spam, and one person even had the nerve to pretend that my website was not working! It only occured to me recently that this sharp increase of offers could be related to the new pictures I posted here and the fact that I have mentioned being in the process of revamping my website.

I have seen ladies pay close to $1000 for a website that anybody using Microsoft Frontpage for 15 minutes can design. I have seen ladies paying full price for a recycled web template already in use by somebody else. I have seen ladies who had their domain names stolen from them after switching to another webdesigner or hosting company. And the list goes on. Needless to say, I am not very interested with dealing with any third party for a task that I am able to do myself.

However, that doesn’t mean there are no ethical webdesigners out there. Amanda Brooks explains very well HERE what I would have to do to find reliable webdesign services.

The whole point of this entry is: even though my website is still “in progress”, I am skilled enough to bring it to completion. I am NOT in the market for a webdesigner.
