  • Old Montreal is known for its many quality restaurants. Over the last few years, the area which was known solely as a tourist spot established itself as a hotbed of art galleries.

A walk on those streets during the summer is one activity I really enjoy. The works of art displayed vary greatly in style, from classical to modern, which makes the experience multidimensional. Painting is one of my hobbies, but what the artists are exposing there is more than that. It is colors brought to life, an ability I have yet to acquire. It leaves me wondering how they do it.

I wish I could walk through Old Montreal more often. This is where looking endlessly doesn’t necessarily mean having the urge to spend what you have in your wallet because the paintings have a way of touching you on a deep level. Quite another type of window shopping!

    1. I wish I could write like you as Margaret Laurence once said “When I say “work” I only mean writing. Everything else is just odd jobs.”
